STAR EXPO this Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM - fab lab volunteers are welcome to work the table! The event will be held at the Hilton Inn Gardens
A raffle will be held. Suggestions welcome!
From the announcement:
First of all, I want to thank all of you for agreeing to be a vendor at our 2013 STAR Expo and Awards Ceremony. We are thrilled to have you be a part of this special event! As we are just days away from the Expo, I wanted to touch base with everyone on some last minute details you may need prior to the Expo.
Here are some basic reminders:
1. The STAR Expo will be held this Thursday, April 25 from 5:30-7 pm and the STAR Awards Ceremony from 7-8;30 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign.
2. Vendors who requested electricity have been assigned a table near an outlet. However, you are responsible for supplying your own extension cords and electronic equipment (laptop, etc.)
3. As we stated previously, there is NO cost to participate. Vendors are encouraged to have items to giveaway and/or to have an item to raffle off at their table to help draw people to their table. Raffle items should not consist of anything more than $10-$15 dollars. Vendors are responsible for managing their own raffles and having whatever materials they need to raffle off their item (raffle forms for people to sign up, pens, box to drop filled out raffle forms, etc).
4. Each vendor will receive 1 table (8 foot) and 2 chairs.
5. Vendors are required to decorate their own tables. Table skirts will be provided this year; however, if you would like to bring your own tablecloth to drape over your table, please feel free to do so.
6. Vendors set up starts at 4:30 pm on the day of event, and will need to be set up/ready to open by 5:15 pm. No set up will be allowed after 5 pm.
7. No tear down will be allowed until after 7:00 pm. However, you are encouraged to stay for our STAR Awards Ceremony to see some of the wonderful things that have been happening in our community. If you would like to stay, a staff member will monitor the Expo room during the ceremony and you may tear down afterwards. However, anything of value should be taken with you as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
